What Is Brushless Motor Technology?

Traditional electric motors rely on carbon brushes to transfer power, leading to friction, heat, and wear over time. 

Ozito's brushless motors eliminate these brushes, utilising electronic controllers to manage power delivery. This design results in reduced friction, lower heat generation, and a more efficient energy transfer, translating to longer tool life and extended battery runtime. 

Maintenance free, high performance and energy efficient: carbon brushes in conventional electric motors have very negative effects on efficiency and durability. That is why we have equipped our tools with the modern brushless motors. Friction losses or involuntary idle time due to motors that have overheated is now a thing of the past!

This is real efficiency!

For a motor to spin and provide drive to a power tool, a magnetic field must be created. Conventional electric motors use carbon brushes to change the polarity of this magnetic field through mechanical contact, allowing the motor to continue spinning. Brushless motors eliminate this frictional contact and provide more precise control using a computer. This means a cooler running motor, high efficiency and a longer lifespan of the product.

Drill hole to hole, mow lawn to lawn: batteries also benefit from the high efficiency of the motor. All PXC tool and garden equipment utilising brushless motors have a particularly high level of efficiency allowing for more power or longer battery run time. A brushless motors low weight and compact design also make the tools easy and comfortable to handle.
